Samsung is looking to boost its image in the area of gaming monitors with the Odyssey G7 T1 Faker Edition

At CES 2020, Samsung unveiled the series of Odyssey gaming monitors, which consisted of the Odyssey G7 and the Odyssey G9. The lineup features curved QLED VA displays, a 240Hz refresh rate, HDR, 1ms GTG response time, and G-Sync. Samsung announced today that it has released a special edition of the Odyssey G7 inspired by Faker (Lee Sang-Hyeok), T1's League of Legends star player.

The company has developed the Odyssey G7 T1 Faker Edition gaming monitor together with SK Telecom's esports organization T1. Their collaboration began four months ago. The monitor has received Faker's signature colors: red and dark silver, as well as the Faker's signature on the bezel in the lower corner and on the stand. It also has a partnership logo of Samsung and T1. There are two variants of the Odyssey G7 T1 Faker Edition: the 27-inch version for KRW 870,000(about $747) and the 32-inch version for KRW 1 million(about $859).

The Odyssey G7 gaming monitor was introduced to Samsung's domestic market four months ago. It is available in 27-inch and 32-inch variants, which feature 1000R curved screens with VA QLED panels, a 240Hz refresh rate, QHD resolution, 1ms GTG response time, and DisplayHDR 600. The monitor supports both AMD FreeSync 2 and Nvidia G-Sync. It also has "Core" lighting and cable management.
