Samsung is rolling out the October 2020 security update and the Galaxy A50 (SM-A505FN) is the first phone to receive it. The patch has firmware version A505FNXXS5BTI9 and is about 123MB in size.
This is a regular update and does not introduce any new features. Samsung hasn't provided details on the October 2020 security patch, and it is not known what vulnerabilities were addressed in the newest update. Typically, security updates debut without a changelog for security reasons. Most likely, Samsung will disclose this information by mid-October. By then, we expect more Galaxy devices to receive this security patch. You will receive a notification about a new update, but you can try running it manually in Settings. To do this, go to "Software update" and click on "Download and install".
