Apple is rumored to order foldable screens from Samsung for sampling

Samsung has become a trendsetter in the area of foldable smartphones. The company has already released four foldable smartphones and there is much more to come. It seems that Apple is finally ready to release its own foldable iPhone. It is revealed that Apple has ordered foldable screen panels from Samsung for sampling. Apple is said to use foldable panels to check foldable iPhones on the prototype stage. Back in 2019, Samsung provided Apple with a few samples. This suggests that Apple is much closer to launching its own foldable iPhone.

There is a lot of discussion right now about the possible form factor of the foldable iPhone, namely whether its design will be similar to the Galaxy Z Flip or the Galaxy Z Fold 2. It was previously mentioned that the prototype of the foldable iPhone currently has two separate screens connected by a hinge. It is reported to have round stainless steel edges along with a small forehead on the outer display that has the Face ID sensors.

While Huawei, Microsoft, and Motorola have all launched foldable smartphones, Apple seems to be in no hurry to follow suit. It is not yet known how long we will wait for a foldable iPhone, but as far as we all know, Apple never stays away from modern trends.
