Samsung announced the Galaxy Fit 2 in early September during the 'Life Unstoppable' event. The new wearable device can now be pre-ordered in the UK for £49. The shipments of the Galaxy Fit 2 to pre-order customers should begin on October 1, 2020.
Samsung's new budget fitness tracker is an improved version of the Galaxy Fit. The device is equipped with a 1.1-inch full-color AMOLED display with a resolution of 126×294 pixels. The display is protected by 3D glass. The Galaxy Fit 2 has an IP68-certified design for dust and water resistance (up to 50m) and comes with a silicone strap in black and scarlet. The device features a 159 mAh battery. Samsung promises up to 21 days of battery with low usage and 15 days of battery with regular usage. The Galaxy Fit 2 has 2MB RAM, 32MB ROM, and Bluetooth 5.1. It is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones.
Galaxy Fit 2 has an optical heart rate monitor, sleep tracking, accelerometer, and gyroscope. It can automatically recognize five types of exercises: walking, running, dynamic workout, elliptical trainer, and rowing. It displays notifications and gives you quick responses. You can also control the music on your mobile app using the watch. And as a bonus feature, there are handwashing reminders that you can set up to remind you to wash your hands regularly. There are also more than 70 different watch faces available on the fitness tracker.
