Select Galaxy S20 Fan Edition models have already started receiving the December 2020 system security update. Recently, users of these smartphones have been complaining about touchscreen performance issues. Samsung has already released several updates to fix this problem, but none of them completely removed it. It appears that this patch does not address the issue either and only contains the vulnerability fixes. We can only hope that Samsung will fix the touchscreen issues before the end of this year.
The update has release version G781BXXS1ATL1. Samsung started to roll out the update yesterday in the UK, Germany, and Spain. So far, the December 2020 security update has only reached the 5G-enabled Galaxy S20 Fan Edition models. Obviously, it will soon reach LTE-only models as well.
You can check if the update is already available on your device in the Settings menu by opening the "Software update" section and clicking on "Update and install".
