Samsung continues to roll out the Android 11 One UI 3.0 software update, and this time the update has reached the company's foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is the first smartphone in the foldable family to receive this update. Samsung started rolling out the One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in Switzerland.
The update has firmware version F707BXXU1CTL6 and contains the December 2020 security patch. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is expected to get the same features with this update as the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Note 20 series. It means that the smartphone could get refreshed and improved UI, one-time permissions, chat bubbles, chat section in the notification panel, improved stock apps, repositioned volume controls, and a media playback widget. We could also see some improvements in Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls.
The LTE variant of the Galaxy Z Flip powered by the Snapdragon 855 has yet to receive an update. Samsung plans to roll out the One UI 3.0 update to other phones in the coming months. You can check for an update in the Settings menu. Just go to the "Software update" section and tap "Download and install".
