Samsung loses first place to LG in a TV consumer survey in Australia

In a survey held among TV consumers in Australia, Samsung has lost first place to LG this year. Market research agency Canstar Blue conducts this survey every year and rates TV brands using different criteria such as picture and sound quality, ease of use, smart compatibility, value for money, and overall satisfaction. 1,000 Australian adults who bought new LCD, LED, QLED, or OLED TVs over the past two years took part in the survey.

LG got five stars for all the criteria, except for value for money, thus climbing three notches compared to last year. Moreover, Samsung lost not only to LG but also to Panasonic, which got a higher rating for ease of use. Samsung got four stars for all of the criteria mentioned above and took third place. Sony came in fourth with only three stars for value for money but with five stars for sound quality. The other four companies were TCL, Kogan, Hisense, and Soniq.

Despite this survey, in terms of real market share, Samsung remains the leader in all major markets around the world.
