Samsung has released a perfect monitor for those who are now working or studying at home. What is special about it is that you can use it as a TV. Work, study, watch your favorite movies or TV shows using a single monitor.
The monitor is available in two models: Smart Monitor M5 and Smart Monitor M7, both running the Tizen 5.5 operating system. The M5 features Full HD resolution in 27-inch and 32-inch variants, while the M7 features 4K resolution and 32-inch screen size. Both models have an aspect ratio of 16:9, a maximum brightness of 250 nits, a viewing angle of 178 degrees, support for HDR10, and built-in 10W stereo speakers.
The monitor supports smart TV apps, including YouTube, Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. It comes with a remote control that has streaming service hotkeys. Both models feature dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, AirPlay 2, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and USB Type-A ports. The M7 also has a USB Type-C port that can charge connected devices(up to 65W) and transmit video signals.
Both models also support Bixby Voice Assistant, Screen Mirroring, and Remote Access. Remote Access allows users to wirelessly and remotely access content on a PC or laptop. The display also supports Microsoft Office 365 apps so that you can work with documents without a PC connection and save them directly to the cloud. You can also use Samsung DeX to connect compatible Galaxy devices to the monitor. The display also has the Adaptive Picture feature that automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature according to the environment and an eye-saver mode that reduces blue light.
The monitors will be launched first in Canada, China, and the United States, before being available in other markets.
