Samsung has released a new firmware update for the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71 in India. It's called Alt Z Life, and with it, mid-range smartphone users will get several useful privacy-related features. The new update includes Quick Switch, Content Suggestions, Useful Cards in the Messages app, and Gallery zoom. However, this update does not contain a new security patch.
The Quick Switch feature allows you to instantly switch between private and main modes of some apps. To access your private apps, pictures, and folders, just press the power button twice.
The Content Suggestion feature selects images that you may want to keep private and offers to store them in the private gallery. It is important to note that Samsung claims that files are not uploaded to cloud servers, as all processing takes place entirely on the device.
The update also brings improved Useful Cards in the Messages app. From now on, all your financial transactions will appear in the Messages app, grouped by your Bank, Credit Card, Debit Card, and Wallet accounts. Along with Useful Cards, comes enhanced Gallery zoom which will improve the quality of images every time you zoom in on them.
Both the users of the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71 in India can already check for updates in the Settings menu of their phones. Just find the "Software Update" section and click the "Download and Install" button. As for other countries, no reliable information has yet been received. We hope this will happen in the coming weeks.
