Last week it was reported that Samsung was working on a new pair of wireless headphones. According to the report, they can be released as the Galaxy Buds Bean or simply the Galaxy Bean, since the shape of the headphone resembles that of a bean.
The report also claims that the earbuds will receive the Active Noise Cancellation feature, which was so lacking for many fans of the Galaxy Buds+. In addition, it is stated that new headphones will cost less than $150.
Each earphone will be 28mm long and 13mm wide with three microphones and two speakers in each. The design will be completely different compared to Galaxy Buds/Buds +. These earbuds will not protrude from the ear. The lower part will be located directly inside the ear canal and will be without silicone tips, and the back will fill the upper part of the ear. As for the charging cradle, It will be about 26 mm thick. Samsung plans to improve the fit of the headphones by further trimming the dimensions at the engineering verification stage.
It is expected that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Buds Bean alongside the Galaxy Note 20 later this year. The price of these earbuds will be approximately $140. Unfortunately, no information on the actual battery capacity has been revealed yet, but the report mentions that after one charge the earphones will run for 11 hours.
Given the current pandemic situation, it is not yet known whether a full-scale launch event for the Galaxy Note 20 will be held. It is possible that Samsung is also considering the option of launching its next flagship online.
