properly sanitize your smartphone

The life of modern people is hard to imagine without smartphones. Try to count how many times a day you interact with your phone, and most likely you will lose count. The issue of disinfection of mobile devices has always been relevant, as they regularly collect bacteria that can threaten human health.

So, what to use to protect yourself but not damage your device?
In this case, we don't recommend using household chemicals, hand sanitizers, and abrasive wipes, as they can damage the screen protective layer. Water and soap will cope effectively and safely with this task.

How to clean your phone from coronavirus?
First, disconnect the charger from the phone. Then, remove the case. Dampen a microfiber cloth with water and apply some soap to it. Gently wipe the surface of the device with a cloth to prevent moisture from entering the device. Finally, wipe the phone with a dry, clean cloth. Do the same with the case.

How to disinfect your smartphone from coronavirus?
Special devices will help you disinfect your phone safely using ultraviolet radiation. However, this method has a minor disadvantage because the color of some cases and phones may fade over time due to radiation.

Apple recommends cleaning their devices with antibacterial wipes that contain 70% isopropyl alcohol. A good option may be the Clorox wipes. Unfortunately, the rest of the manufacturers do not give any recommendations on this issue.

By the way, another not very successful solution is to clean your smartphone with vodka. The fact is that this method is ineffective. The reason for this is quite simple because, in order to kill viruses and germs, you need to use a sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content. Vodka contains only 40% alcohol.

Experts advise
It is best to wipe the surface of your phone three times a day. This will always keep your device clean. But when you can't do this, try to touch it as little as possible. Use the phone only when necessary. It is logical that the less we contact it, the lower the risk of contracting the virus.

No matter how well you disinfect your smartphone, regardless of the method, as soon as you touch it, microbes will appear on it again. Therefore, maintain your hygiene regularly: wash your hands and treat them with an antiseptic. Take care of yourself and stay healthy!
