Samsung has come a long way in experimenting with smartwatches since 2013 when the company first unveiled its Samsung Galaxy Gear. We have witnessed many different iterations over these years, such as the shift from a rectangular form factor to a circular one, the adoption of its own Tizen OS, the introduction of rotating bezel, the launch of LTE models, and compatibility with Apple products. Samsung firmly holds its position among the leaders in smartwatch production and has a huge fan base all around the world.
In this article, we will take a look at two of the best Samsung smartwatches, namely the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Watch 3.
Samsung Galaxy Watch. Category: The Best Battery Capacity.
The Galaxy Watch was presented to the public in 2018. The smartwatch comes in two sizes, namely 46mm and 42mm. The larger variant has a 470 mAh battery and promises up to 80 hours of runtime, which makes it a leader in battery capacity among Samsung smartwatches. The smaller variant has a 270 mAh battery and promises up to 45 hours of runtime, which is still more than the smaller versions of other Samsung smartwatches can offer.
The 46mm and 42mm variants feature a 1.3-inch and 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, respectively. The Galaxy Watch is also equipped with an Exynos 9611 chipset, which guarantees the same performance as in the newer models. The smartwatch boasts Corning Gorilla Glass DX+, military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810G), and water-resistance up to 50 meters. It also supports Samsung Pay NFC and has an integrated GPS. The Galaxy Watch recognizes up to 40 different activities, automatically starts tracking six types of workouts, tracks sleep cycles, heart rate, and calories, offers guided meditations and breathing exercises, and a lot of other useful stuff that a decent smartwatch should do. Do we need to mention its stylish design with a rotating bezel?
